“Once you get "re-used" to slating your footage, you'll find that your workflow improves and the use of profanity is greatly reduced in the office. Another perk is that you'll never again misspell a client or interviewees name. Having it written down on site will prevent that embarrassment . . . I give the system a solid 4 cows because I like the way it works, I like the way it looks, and I think that it makes me more attentive to the small details that I used to let slip past. It's a simple idea with a clever implementation.”

CUSTOMER COMMENTS:

“Thank you so much. As you know, we received our Easy Slates and went right into production on our mockumentary.

We're approaching this like a real Documentary and not a feature. Shooting and logging everything as locations and interviews etc. On the first day of production, we got out the slates and found the interview slate. SCORE, this is a great product. On many of the shoots, our production crew is limited, so having a script / time-code keeper isn't an option. Being able to quickly slate the shot, keeps us moving and having a small crew keeps our costs down. We slate the end of the shot, that way, we can say whether is was a keeper or not. In post, we can log and capture just as we would from script notes.

The Easy Slates are small, effective and easy to use. On our first shoots, we used the all of them, which worked great. EUREKA! This is awesome! Everything fits in one production bag! Our Easy Slates were an instant success and we recommend them to any production crew that likes things simple, quick and effective.”

“As a convention and event producer, I produce a lot of corporate video productions that many times involve interviewing company employees from top executives to entry level staff. Keeping track of names and titles has always been a challenge, and at times verifying this kind of information has really bogged down the completion of a project in post production. I can’t begin tell you how much damage is done if a person’s name or title in a video graphic is incorrect.

The Interview slate is just what I have always needed; a slate customized for interviews. Now I have the interviewee fill out their name and title and we lay it down to tape. There is no longer any question as to who is who, how they spell their name, or what their title is; its right there on the tape. The price of EasySLATE is nothing compared to the amount of money wasted in an edit suite.”
